THE GLADIATOR WAY
Glen Iris Junior Football Club, proudly known as the Gladiators, was founded in 1987 and has been part of the local junior football community for many years.
We are a Melbourne-based junior Australian Rules football club, welcoming boys and girls of all abilities. The club provides teams across junior age groups, from Under 8s through to Colts, as well as a Saturday morning Auskick program for younger players beginning their football journey.
GIJFC is focused on developing junior football in a positive, supportive and family-focused environment. We aim to help players improve their skills, build confidence, learn teamwork and develop strong values both on and off the field.
Participation and enjoyment are at the heart of the club. We encourage players to respect teammates, coaches, umpires, opponents, officials and volunteers, while always keeping winning in perspective.
The club strongly opposes all forms of verbal, racial and physical abuse and is committed to creating a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment for every player and family.
GIJFC is proudly powered by volunteers. Parents and families play an important role in supporting teams, assisting on match days and helping with club operations, including coaching, team management, canteen, BBQ duties and game day roles.
New players and families are always welcome.
