Armadillo’s collection are handmade by true artisans, keeping an ancient lineage of craftmanship alive. Each Armadillo rug is exquisite, exuding a nuance of colour, texture and composition that lends our range its breadth and timelessness.
Armadillo is the first Australian and American rug make to achieve B Corp status, who practise ethical living. Hoping to inspire a more natural pace of life with products that are kinder to the environment and strive to making a lasting impact on the lives of the next generation.
FOUNDERS
Armadillo is a women-owned business led by Jodie Fried and Sally Pottharst. Together, the visionary thinkers share a lifttime passion for artistry, sustainability and social change.
With Jodie working from Los Angeles and London and Sally from the Adelaide Hills in Australia, they envisage and design every collection together. Their work not only embodies the curation of art and culture, but the legacy and livelihood of traditional artisans and support Armadillo’s philanthropic endeavours, giving girls from marginalised backgrounds the best start in life through education.
Jodie and Sally’s commitment to sustainability is infused throughout their business, driving forward Armadillo’s journey ever lightening its footprint on the planet.
